As your birth story scribe my goal is to tell a love story between you and your baby. A story that is tangible, empowering, and encouraging to look back on. I walk with you back down memory lane with gentleness and presence and I listen for moments of strength and bravery in the midst of what may have been difficult. All through a lens of grace.

MY Approach…

There is no one size fits all when it comes to the birthing experience. I encourage you to take time emotionally and physically to process your birth as well as time getting to know your little one. That may be days, weeks, or even months. Regardless I am here to serve you.

Leading up to your story building session, I encourage you to gather sources of information and artifacts in a designated place. Birth can be hazy and memories fade. This information can be exchanged between yourself and significant other, a doula, and be pulled from your medical records etc.

To help in recollection of details, I encourage you to create an atmosphere that is uninterrupted and allows space for a free flowing stream of thoughts and feelings, uncensored with gentleness for yourself. This may be done alongside a trusted person, professional, or even to yourself. It can can be on paper or voice memos. This story is yours.

Then I come in. I help you to process through all that you have compiled and together we pullout key details, emotions, and events to shape your baby’s story from their highly anticipated arrival to the memorable “firsts” after they came home to the edification of the life they may lead ahead.

Throughout, your baby’s story I help highlight and weave in the concept of God’s goodness supported by scripture. Tying it all together in a 1 - page keepsake book alongside a picture of baby for them to return to for a lifetime remembering your heart for them as well as God’s heart for them.
